I recently was terminated from my job and have chosen to withdrawal from my 401k in a lump sum ( i know not the best decision but any emergency funds i may have are gone). Approximately three months prior to being my employment being terminated I had a student loan wage garnishment on my income; my question is since i have chosen to "cash out" of my 401k ( which would be well below 5 thousand) can it also be garnished.
