New to this....My 20 year olds car was hit in our driveway. The others drivers insurance will pay for a rental but when she went to get one they would not rent to her because of her age......What is she supposed to do??? What can she do legally? Thank You.:(

Not much. Car rental companies have a minimum age of 21 in most cases. Perhaps a small company might consider her.

The problem with all this is that the insurance company will only reimburse up to a limited amount. So even if you could get a company to rent to her, the rental would probably be more than she would be reimbursed because of the age discrimination.
Not an attorney . This is not legal advice.

In my area, most car rental agencies will not rent to anyone under 25, because of the increased insurance costs. If they choose not to rent to anyone who is 20 years old, that's legal.

The other insurance might allow you to co-sign for rental. Worth a try, but you will have to pay for any cost not covered by the insurance.
