16 yr single mom with fractured jaw

hello everyone i would like to thank everyone in advice for any help and or advice. I know this 16 yr old single mom who was dating a 24 yr old gang member (horrible i know but she is paying fo it) anyway they got in to a serious argument and he punched her in the face and fractured her jaw. I'm just curious as to how much time he can get. Also he has prior charges against him, he is a known gang member, and is currently out on bail. please any info will be appriciated. this happened in NYC:

It isnt about time etc. There was a wrong done to this young girl and if the crime was not reported it should be. Also the young girl should be given numbers to shelters for battered women
