I am a 17 year old college student turning 18 in three months who was pulled over for going 101 MPH in a 65 MPH zone in OHIO on Jan. 21, 2008.

I was charged with:

ORC (Ohio Revised Code) 4511.2102
ORC (Ohio Revised Code) 2152.021

I am mandated to go to court with a parent or guardian. Since I live in college, my parents are too far away to come with me to court. Can my Residence Hall Director accompany me to court in lieu of my parents?

I was convicted of a moving traffic violation in May 2006. Two points were taken off my license, I had to pay a court fee, $50 fine, and attend a Car Teens class.

What sort of fines and punishments can I expect if I plead guilty?
What does it mean to plead no contest, and how can I do that?

No ocntest is the same a guilty. Since you have to go to court with one of your parents you need to tell them immediately. An attorney can go with you but not the director. Since this will have a major effect on your insurance for years to come, you need an attorney to mitigate the damage.
