    It may have not even made it to the grand jury yet. Unless there is more proof the DA will probably drop the charges. If not hire an attorney or ask for a public defender to see what other evidence they may have against him. Your attorney will know how to handle this.

    Yes, it is an arrest. I don't know the name in Maryland but ask if he can have, it's possibly called deferred adjudication or adjudication withheld or deferred judgement. It's a way for it to be removed from his record. If you don't have an attorney ask the DA for this.

    Did you tell the cop after he started going through your things that you didn't give him permission to go through your things? If not you may be able to get out of the alcohol charge. I cop is allowed to search you (pockets, etc.) for his own safety so your out of luck there. Ask for...
