Add to the Deed or create a Cohabitation Agreement?

Understand that you can't add someone to the deed. Each deed reflects a conveyance of some ownership interest from one person to another. The house title is the history of all the deeds over time. You can deed part of the property to her, but understand you are giving her an irrevocable...

    Payment to foreigner

1099-INT is probably the wrong form for a non-resident. You should be filing a 1042-S.

Starting a Business Do I need A DBA

Asb far as Texas goes, you can't have distinguishable names that differ only by the "LLC" being there or not. If you were operating under that fictitious name with your sole proprietorship, you should have filed for a DBA for that name. If you had, you probably wouldn't have been able to...

    POA for Real Estate Transactions

Again, you can't be POA for a dead person. Zig it right, neither POA nor trustees need any sort of recording in MO.

Can the Police get the iPhone Password from Apple

Apple doesn't have his phone/text messages, but the phone company does and the police can very much issue a warrant to his carrier for such. As for breaking into the phone itself, the police (if they have the warrant) have tools that get into the phone without Apple's help.

    Former Employer Filed an Appeal

Being unable to work due to illness doesn't qualify you for unemployment. Doing the work of other positions means squat by the way. Your employer is rightfully upset. They offered you work, you didn't take it (your excuses don't matter), they shouldn't be dinged with the UE penalty...

Legality of Recording Business Calls on Cell Phones of Remote Employees

Actually, the law on this in NYS is changing in May. Notification is required (not just for phone) both at hire and to be posted in the workspace. There are penalties for violation but no private course of action (i.e., the employee can not sue for violations). The employee must...

Legality of Recording Business Calls on Cell Phones of Remote Employees

If he places the software without informing the employee (and getting the employee's consent) that the listening software is there, that alone is a misdemeanor. Actually using it is a felony.

    POA for Real Estate Transactions

What are you trying to get at? As I stated before, the POA is irrelevant to you now that the principal was dead. What makes you think the attorney had any obligation to you or to file these documents? If you're trying to get the trust issues resolved, take all the paperwork to a new...

    POA for Real Estate Transactions

Hold the phone. If your aunt is dead, you can not be her attorney in fact no matter what was recorded. POA dies with the principal. Now the trust is a different matter. But if you're the successor trustee, you should be able to record that yourself.

Does someone charged with but not convicted of drug possession have his driver's license suspended?

Charged, no. Convicted, yes there can be an indefinite length suspension involved. If charged, YOU NEED A LAWYER. License suspension is the least of your problems. You could be going to jail.

    appeal pro se

OK, well this changes everything. My previous advice was based on the assumption that you were in the Commonwealth of Virginia courts system. You're in Federal court, and as a fine Federal judge down in Florida once says, you need to govern yourself accordingly. Again most judges are not...

What is Probation for if not followed ???

There's no obligation to tell the victim anything about the probation, transferred or not. The transfer isn't a sudden thing either. It can take a couple of months for the negotiation between the two corrections departments to occur. In addition to my other suggestions there's also the...

    appeal pro se

Let's first start with what court the judgment was issued in. The appeal varies based on that. Anyhow normal appeal time is 30 days after entry of judgment unless extension is granted. If there was a 30 day extension that would put you into February. The notice has a prescribed form but...

What is Probation for if not followed ???

I'd file with both the police and the DOC P&P office. The probation officers usually take such things seriously.

Serving an Inc - to whom?

California allows you to perform personal service on either the registered agent (the ABC agency) or on various officers of the company (including the president). It's almost always easiest to use the registered agent (especially if it's one of of these "in the registered agent" businesses)...

    Homicide, Murder, Manslaughter Potter Trial

It's the glock they're asking about. Right now the thing has a wire tie running down the barrel holding it to a cardboard box. The judge approved having the tie removed so they can pick it up.

    Homicide, Murder, Manslaughter Potter Trial

They also asked if they can get the murder weapon removed from its container so they can hold it in their hands. The judge agreed to this request.

    Allergic Reaction

I'm sorry AJ, but that's not true. Mere personal belief that your claim is true doesn't make it a non-frivolous claim. You have to have factual basis that have some basis rather than being the products of delusion or fantasy, and not based on some indisputably meritless legal theory. Here...

Husband on H1B work visa in US - Wife wants divorce

Depending on the version of the story the actions are different, but either way it starts with an attorney. The immigration/visa status is really irrelevant to this discussion, by the way.
