Not to be a jerk, but I can't read this without you breaking it into paragraphs, etc.

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication mip in michigan

It would be great if you can get a letter from her, but make sure the emphasis isn't on them saying you aren't an "alcoholic" as the court may then discount the opinion. If you plead not guilty, almost everywhere you will then have a "pre-trial conference" where you can then talk to the...

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Minor in Consumption

I totally agree with you, it doesn't make sense! But the rationale is that if you are prohibited from alcohol, your next move is drugs! So, it's common for you to be drug tested, even if you have no history or desire for drugs!

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Minor in Posession - Previous charge question

Is it your understanding that for the plea bargain they asked "Prior charge?" As in, have you ever been arrested? Due to it being dropped/under 18, etc., from what I know it won't show up on the criminal report given to the probation officer. I seriously doubt, but am not 100% sure, that...

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Bodily Injury While Under the Influence on ATV WI, USA

I'm not sure about the fine. I doubt they have to tell you what the fine may be, but it was probably smart of him to refuse it. It's odd, though, because in most OUIL cases, and all in Michigan, the police can get a Judge's warrant and force blood to be drawn from a suspect, unless they have...

Is your brother a citizen of the USA? Is the girl suing your brother? Was your brother arrested?

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Open Intoxicant. Evanston, IL.

Wow. Not only is it a 9 hour trip, who knows how long it will take for court proceedings! Plus depreciation of your car. . . and whatever you make in a day. . . did you ask if someone could stand in for you (your lawyer friend)? Thanks for this post. I'm considering moving to Evanston...

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Open Intoxicant. Evanston, IL.

I'm unfamiliar with Illinois. As far as Evanston goes, I know it is where much of the temperance movement started, not really any bars there, near impossible to get liquor easily, etc. So, that may be why the amount is so incredibly high. I know that I've never heard of a $500 civil infraction...

    Harassment, Stalking, Misconduct Disorderly Conduct

If it isn't an economic impossibility, you should retain a lawyer. A lawyer likely has a far greater chance of having your charge dropped down to a civil infraction or tossed out. I know the situation is ludicrous, but if you somehow angered the cop a great deal, he may put pressure on the...

    summons

A warrant will be issued for your arrest. Not showing up for a summons leads to bad things, as it infuriates the court.

Property Invasion, Damages, Trespass What are the chances of going to Jail for This Misdemeanor?

Everyone you talk to is wrong. Call CRIMINAL DEFENSE lawyers in your area and ask for a meeting. Also, ask if they charge, the good ones do not charge for an initial consultation. You seem to be bent on inaction. You ask forums advise, they tell you you need a lawyer, you ask "everyone" they...

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Open Intoxicant. Evanston, IL.

If the ticket is checked civil infraction I'd advise you simply pay the fine. It's not like a speeding ticket where your insurance goes up, etc. Spartan fan, eh? It was a good game, at least.

Yes, they can. I don't understand what you mean by this.

Fraud, Embezzlement, Bad Checks Felony C First charge at 67 years old

Well, of course it sounds like you need a lawyer. It's not my field of expertise, but I think it's horrible what you are going through. I wish you the best of luck.

Property Invasion, Damages, Trespass What are the chances of going to Jail for This Misdemeanor?

Your dry ice bomb sounds like a Macgyver bomb. You should be safe and get an attorney. Where I live, Macgyver bomb is a felony. The police may not think much of it, but you never know if the prosecutor and Judge take it much more seriously.

Property Invasion, Damages, Trespass What are the chances of going to Jail for This Misdemeanor?

How old are you? What is a dry ice bomb? It's impossible to know, as Judges and their temperments vary wildly. If you're just a bunch of high school kids doing this, I suspect you'll have to make restitution, write apology notes, and do some kind of community service. The Judge will likely...
