It's better that it's not on your record, obviously. I haven't a pony. NO.

You can try to get it expunged. Contact some attorneys, and see what they say.

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication public intoxication, first offense, Palm Springs, CA

It's unlikely anything too damaging will happen. If you get a good defense attorney, however, he will possibly be able to reduce what you did to a civil infraction.

Assault & Battery tragedy in my life

1 year minimum? So, I assume it's a felony. Let the prosecutor know full and well that you are going to be an adverse witness to their case.

Fraud, Embezzlement, Bad Checks Statute of Limitation in Embezzlement

have you asked your mother to pay you back the amount? I'm just wondering if even you win the case against her, which could take forever, she'd have no money to give you? She may be living just on retirement, etc., much of which can't be touched. So you were wronged, but it's possible that the...

Yes, that would be a stupid move. Further, you attorney should have given you advice that it's a stupid offer.

what evidence is needed to convict in a hit and run case?

Yes. Sometimes people are too short-sighted in their desire for instant justice and instant gratification. As far as your case goes, sounds like you have nothing to worry about.

Criminal Trials, Hearings fixing past mistakes

You need an attorney to act as an intermediary. He was likely tried in absensia and is found guilty for all purposes. A good attorney you can have a plea bargain with the prosecutor, which most Judges follow, but don't have to adhere to. It's most likely you won't know the punishment until...

    Burglary, Arson, Home Invasion burglary

Didn't they tell you how much it would cost for bond at your arraignment? Anyway, you should probably hire a "real" defense attorney, as for whoever you have now is keeping you ignorant and spoiling in a cell.

what evidence is needed to convict in a hit and run case?

The more the police try to blame you for something that you didn't do, the easier the job for the defense attorney of the guilty party, as he can point to you as an alternative and say "the police were convicnced he did this due to . . . ". Next time mention that to the police.

Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Felony Theft in MO

You'll need an attorney to act as an intermediary for what you wish to do. If you do it, it will show guilty. So your attorney needs to contact the employer and prosecutor and determine if you paying it off will help you get on with your life. Good luck to yoU! Anxiety is a killer.

    Criminal Speeding Ticket

What is the specific charge? Is it reckless driving? Did he write you up on a reduced speed (say 75 mph) and then write next to it your actual speed(92)? It's not too late to get counsel, and if you want to play the game of moving court dates ahead, they'd be the one to do it. Otherwise...

Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI Charged with DUI while on Probation in PA

This really varies by State. I'm familiar with Michigan. In Michigan, under current law, a third defense of DUI is a maximum of 5 years in prison. However, where I live people usually get about 90 days jail, but a lot of community service, and time in rehab. Commiting a crime on probation...

Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI Driving with a Suspended License due to Underage DWI (NEW JERSEY)

I wish I could help you more. ALl I can tell you is, it's less expensive to change to a good lawyer than to continually retain a horrible one. Further, if he's incompetent, file a grievance.
