I was adopted in 85 now I want my real parents to adopt me.

How on earth do I get this started? I found my real parents both of them years ago, I have never felt like I belonged to the family that adopted me. The household was very stressed all the time. The family was abusive to one another as well as to myself. I want to cut all ties with this family. I also would like to change my name back to my given name through my original parents. Does anyone have any advise? I need to find myself I have been lost along time now...I am called one name in my adopted family and one name from my original family..I feel like I have a split life need to make it whole! Help.

I don't understand what an adoption would do for your situation. You are an adult and eventhough you might have had a childhood that wasn't perfect your parents raised you, give them that credit. As for changing your name you are an ADULT, i am just wondering how both your biological and actual parents feel about this. You changing your name isn't going to change anything except that, you are still you and what has happened has happened.
