Auto Loans owner deceased

My boyfriend and I were living together. He is married but was seperated and planning on getting divorce. He bought a truck and had the title to it. He borrowed money from my dad and dad held the title until money was paid back. Boyfriend passed away before money was paid back. How do we get the title put in dads name since the loaned was not paid back????

Sorry, but you have a few obstacles.
Did he sign a promissory note?
If he didn't, you can forget being paid back, or getting the title to the truck.
Why?
How can dad PROVE that he LOANED the money?
If you can prove dad loaned him the money, you could file a suit against his estate.
Bottom line, his WIFE or his ESTATE owns the truck.
