My son is in jail an the juvenile detention center in Houston tx. He has been in for about 8 months. We have been to court many times. He is not going to be tried as an adult. I can not get the attorney to answer the phone and I need to reset the court date. I called and tried to reset it myself and the court afficial wouldn't let me. What now?:(

Why do you need to reset your son's court date? What was your son charged with? They will not likely reset the court date if you can't be there. You are not required to be there. Only he and his attorney must be there.

I can't get to texas until the 29th. His charge is agrivated robbery with a deadly weapon. So far I have had to be at every date. If I'm not there the attorney resets the date for 30 days later.

Isn't that what you want him to do? Reset the date? Your son isn't going anywhere any time soon. Resetting the date for 30 days away isn't going to hurt him. Write a LETTER to the attorney telling him that you will be unable to attend because you are out of state and he will get it reset.
