Can only the trustee of an estate file a will with the court (CA), or can a non-trustee do it? The trustee does not live in the county where the deceased lived and it would be easier if a member of the family could do the filing.
Does a will always need to be filed with the court in California after a person dies? If the will was written through an attorney, is it a normal practice for the attorney to file it at the time it was done?
