I know, its my fault
I'm going to call the courthouse on Monday to schedule it, and I'm going to ask if there is anything else I could do (take classes, etc.)
I was going that speed, and I just want this to be as easy as possible. Should I hire a ticket attorney? They say they have a good success rate of no points & tickets, but I don't know what they would argue since I was going that speed. And if you argue with a lawyer and are found guilty, you can't remove the points from your license.
Or should I just show up to court, apologize, promise to never do it again, and hope for the best? I'm worried about my insurance going way up or even being dropped by them if i get a ticket like that, which might make a lawyer worth it.
Please I'll take any advice, I'm 21 and have never been pulled over. I also have pretty bad anxiety, so this is a nightmare lol
The code is 316.183(2)
Also i don't know if this means anything, but under comments, the officer wrote "estimate speed 95 MPH, target speed 101 MPH" is that any sort of defense since 95 MPH wouldn't require a court appearance? imgur.com
The officer was nice and didn't chew me out or anything, so I'm not expecting him to suggest jail time, I'm just worried.
