Yup. It's called a subpoena. Disregard and contempt charges can and SHOULD be filed against you. Out of curiosity: Why wouldn't you testify to help these children? Do you understand the danger the children are in with this woman? Do you care?

Normally, since he already lives out of state, he couldn't fight your move but you would probably be ordered to pay for the majority of the travel expenses since you created the majority of the distance. But since he doesn't visit with the child really at all (very sad) I doubt you would be...

I would recommend you spend some thine in the judges court-room to see how s/he handles custody cases and to pick up some pointers on proper procedure, demeanor and appropriate questioning.

Thanks...My "knee-jerk" reaction was to blast any parent that would consider abandoning their child like that...but first I want her/him to clarify. I have a strong feeling that the parents have not done all they could for this kid.

Has your son had an evaluation to determine this mental illness or are you just "guessing" this is the problem? You state that he isn't "allowed" in the home...Is that by court order ro a Protective Order? If he "violently attacked you" and you required hospitalization...Why weren't...

Has he filed for a change of custody?:confused:
