Once the court rules in a custody hearing, can that ruling ever be changed?
If one parent is out of state and misses the hearing for custody can he at some later time file to get joint custody back?

Who do we request it from? The court clerk said the judge won't talk to anybody except her or him. She said he probably won't even talk to the kids.
We need to get this into motion before it's too late.
