I feel stupid asking this but is there a difference between withhold of adjudication and withheld adjudication. I have found in legal terminology sometimes the order of the words makes it mean two different things.

I am really confused about this whole adjudication withheld situation. My husband was charged with uttering a forged instrument and grand theft in florida. When I look up his record it states adjudication withheld but also says Convicted by plea. Can someone tell me how all this...
