I parked in a public parking lot at 10m to shop in the mall area when I returned my vehicle several hours later my vehicle was gone.
I assumed my car was towed so I called the posted towing service and they denied having my vehicle so I assumed it was stolen so I called my husband and he called the towing service and again they denied having the car. Having been told repeatedly that the car was not towed we called the appropriate police station and were told that the towing service had indeed towed the vehicle one hour afte I parked in the lot.
After a third call to the towing company they said they had my car. Apon going to pick up my car I was told they only take cash, although their were signs at the store lot and at the towing office indicating VISA and MasterCard accepted
This seems very suspicious do I have any recourse to correct what seems to be a case of preditory towing?
