Property Invasion, Damages, Trespass Writing in wet cement

A friend and I didn't think writing our initials in cement would be a big deal seeing as in our community there are names in concrete down almost every street and we wanted to leave a legacy behind so when we saw wet cement we just wrote our initials. Someone in a car happened to see us and yelled at us saying that she was going to give our photo to the police and I'm not sure if it was a scare tactic or not. My friend and I are very worried because we didn't realise it was that serious? Will there be any serious punishments or can we even be punished?

Even in Australia that's probably vandalism and destruction of property.

Will there be any serious punishments or can we even be punished?

Wouldn't surprise me.

And if you are minors you can bet that your parents will tear you new ones after paying for fines and repairs.
