I am desperate to find out if there is a statute of limitations on payout of a life insurance policy. My father died 30 years ago and i just found out that his policy never paid out to his SEVEN surviving children. The reason given was that my mother was listed as beneficiary and died prior to him. Wouldn't it be next of kin if that is the case. Both died a very painful death of cancer and it was always something noone ever talked about. I also found out that my mother had a policy with the same company and that was also never paid out. My family had alot of trauma and my dad worked very hard. What a rip off for his efforts. Any advice here?
