Work Comp settelment and Divorce

I have been awarded about $40K from Wok Comp case that started 3 years ago. I also started divorce 5 months ago. The $40K is now starting to come in.
Does my wife have any claim on this money? We live in Calif. and we are about to sign the papers and she won't sign until this is resolved.

Any thoughts?

You need to ask the attorney handling your divorce about this.

Sounds to me Bob that your money is half her money. If the issue is pushed she can claim that she put up with your butt and supported you for the 3 years that the case was going on.
