Earlier today my room mate got stopped by an LP at Safeway who accused him of stealing wine. He was, of course.
The LP said she was going to call the police if he didn't come with her, but he refused to go back inside the store. The LP pulled out her cell phone, dialed (presumably) the police, while he set the wine down and left. Anyway, he was borrowing MY car while he was doing this, so my question has two parts.
First, being that no information was given to the police other than a description and (maybe) his face was caught on camera, what danger can be expected for him of this?
And second, being he was driving my car, if my licence plate was recorded on a camera, and he was recorded getting into my car, can I expect to hear from the police soon? And if I do, will I be in any hot water?
