What is the statue of limitations for contesting a will in New York City?
There are many factors involved in answering this question, including from when the statute of limitations begins to run.
A will can be contested for the following reasons:
- The will was not properly executed
- The will was the result of fraud or undue influence
- Another valid will is discovered
- Other exceptions
From my understanding, after probate is completed, it is typically not possible to contest a will.
