Will & Trust - Property not in Trust name

My father recently passed away and he and my mother had a Will, Revocable Trust, and Durable Power of Attorney. We unfortunately found he hadn't put the properties or stocks, etc into the Trust's names. Ohio allows 2 vehicles to pass to my mother, and we are now putting properties/stocks, etc. into her Trust's name. However, the lawyer is saying my father's Will must be filed along with the Trust's Trustee guidelines at the courthouse. Does this mean the Trust will now be governed by Probate court and reports will have to be made to them? Exactly what are the procedures after the death of a spouse with the above criteria? Thanks.
