Why would I, the grandchild, have to sign a form for my Uncle to become administrator of my Grandmothers estate when my grandfather is still living? My father passed away about 2 years ago which only leaves my uncle to help with my grandfathers business affairs...Where do I come in the picture if they claim they found no Will? I don't want to sign this when I don't believe I am a direct heir due to the death of my father. I would imagine the direct heirs would be my grandfather and then their living child, my uncle. Am I correct in my thinking? What responsibility is it of mine and my half brother (who is a minor and will need a guardians signature) to have to to sign this consent?
