Who is responsible

My 19 year old son was taking a friend to the store when they were involved in a single car accident. The truck has only liability insurance. The passenger decided later that night to go the the emergency dept for treatment of back/neck pain. He has no health insurance. The truck is registered in my husbands name eventhough my son is the sole driver. Are we ultimately responsible for the hospital bills or is my son the responsible one.

All y'all could possibly be held liable.

I'd get it settled by paying the bills asap; then have sonny boy pay y'all back.

Since there is liability insurance, notify the insurance company and let them handle it. Then change the title and insurance over to your son.
