Harassment, Stalking, Misconduct Who can I contact?

Would anyone know what Goverment Office I can contact about harassment & stalking? I live in Virginia and I really dont know an aweful lot about the law. Any info would be greatly appreciated.Thanx & have a Wonderful Day!

I would start by looking up the applicable federal and state laws. I'm adding some links for you. You can also go to most state universities (they usually have copies of the federal and state laws) and have a librarian help you find the applicable code.

These webgroups have federal and state by state statutes on stalking. Virginia also has cyberstalking legislation.

You can also contact your state attorney general's office:

Or contact your local police. They aren't lawyers, but if your local cops have experience with stalking, harassment, and domestic violence they should have decent advice.
