I am on F2 visa. I was arrested on the charges of domestic violence. Charges were dismissed just after preliminary hearing. I was planning to get admitted in university. But now I am confused. Will this arrest affect my admission or conversion to F1 visa? Please someone help me..I SM freaking out

Domestic violence is one of the class of crimes that USCIS considers to be "crimes of moral turpitude".

I suggest you discuss your predicament with the folks at: www.uscis.gov

Or an immigration attorney of your choosing.

The answer to your question is YES, a person in your position can be deported, or barred from converting an F2 to an F1.

That said, the only entity that can give you a proper answer can be found at:

www.uscis.gov
