Consumer Law, Warranties when is auto sale binding

Went into a dealershop and made a tentative agreement - verbal agreement was that final decsion was still pending. Signed off on proposed price to lock in manufacturer incentive. no deposit. Did not receive copy of signed paper. Final decsion was no - notified seller in person and in writing within 48 hours. What more should I do and what can they do?
I have no reason to believe they will not honor the verbal agreement, but want to know where I stand/

If you did not put any money down you have no contract. Further, a seller is not going to try to force you to purchase a car. The worst that would happen to you is that you would lose whatever deposit you have paid them. Since you paid them no deposit you are in the clear.

I don't know what the verbal agreement was but, without all the paperwork, it will be very difficult to enforce if it is enforceable. Funny answer, army judge.
