K Visa what is procedure to bring my wife to US if we live abroad

I 've got mu citizenship through naturalization a years ago. I leved in USA till 2000, and than came back to Montenegro had a car accident and get retired.
In meantime I've got married and now I would love to come back to the USA with my wife and her children who live with us. I would apreciate if you can explane me what is procedure.

But I still don't understand

I read everything, but I still don't understand do I have to adopt my wife's children before I file petition to bring them to USA or it's enough to show that we live as a familly and that I support them now. We lived together one year before we got married, and unfortunately, I can only show that I am a couple of months in this marriage. My wife's kids are 17 and 16, and I am affraid that it's going to be too late to apply for them.
