What Is My Rights

I recently purchased a motor bike from a private seller, the bike had no registration papers. The seller told me that he bought it from someone and the person is now in London and won't be able to get the papers. One week after the sale i found out that the bike belongs to a finance company and i then called the finance company and they confirm that yes the bike belongs to them. I need to know what is my rights in terms of getting my money back, can i persue the matter in the small claims court.
