A comic book property I wrote is being acquired by a company, and the contract reads "Contingent Compensation: Fifty percent of the gross sums actually received by Z2H from its sale, license and other exploitation of the Book throughout the world in all media."
Mainly, I just want to make sure I'm fairly compensated, and this sounds good to me. But since I'm giving them rights to both the book and future works in other media, I want to make sure there isn't legalese loopholes to be aware of.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
