My father passed away recently and did not leave a will. Am I, or my grown sister, entitled to any thing from his estate? I believe the house is in both his and my step mother's name. The house is paid for. Will my step mother have to contact me to relinquish any rights? My sister and I are from his first marrige, my half sister is by his widow. We are all over the age of 18. Any advice???
