Now, with me out of work and my wife fully disabled, we tend to flirt with the financial line between impoverished and not. On exactly which side of that line we fall depends upon specifically with which agency or organization we are dealing, and have discovered that not even all governmental entities use the same numbers.
Moments ago we received a settlement from a class-action suit in which we were participants. My question is this: Do we have to report this settlement as income in dealing with these state and or federal government handout groups? It could well determine, again, where we fall regarding elligibility.
While, of course, I would not lie about this, you can doubtless understand that I am loathe to offer information not required of me. I believe it best to give all demanded and nothing not addressed. :no:
