Web Content - Telephone directory

I would like to add a telephone directory of local business' to my website. Do I need permission from the business' that I want to put in the directory, or can I just copy the information from the phonebook?

Hi wookkp,

You cant copy other peoples information without permission from the owners of the business and second from the person you are getting the information from. I am sure if you would like to add the information to a good web site the local business would love the free advertising, as long as you ask there permission.
