If a defendant files a response to a plaintiff regarding a family law matter *and* this includes a 12 page declaration including allegations against the plaintiff, are they required to serve the plaintiff this declaration/response that they filed with the court? This document would be viewed by a judge and considered in making a decision.

If a party is answering a motion or making a motion before the court, the opposing party isn't served.
