Video Game IP / Contracts etc...Help!

Hello,

I have a very interesting situation here. I own a Video Game company and I know a person in Sweden who is the legal owner of a finished Video Game. This person has a contract with a publisher to distribute his game on a list of 10 internet portals (places for internet pc gamers to download the game). My company wants to:

- own the game
- have the legal rights to distribute the game to everywhere but the currently contracted 10 internet portals

I am sure I have to get a lawyer here to write some kind of contract and to look over his current contract. Anyone interested? Also any advice anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

If you need a contract drafted, just let us know and we're glad to help. You definitely want someone experienced in IP. You may wish to have the attorney also review exactly what the deal was with the other Internet portals. Distribution rights could affect the overall value of the asset.
