On Jan 20 2010 we signed up with Dish Network, Paying 283 Dollars that was, as we were told by them, supposed to cover installation and the first two payments. This was the only reason we agreed to sign up. However, we recived our first bill after the first month, we called and asked why and they responded by saying that we did not qualify for that promotion. Yet we were told that we did and that is the verbal contract that we had agreed to. They refuse to refund our money or due anything about the situation. Is there any thing we can do?

Send their registered agent a letter explaining the situation and telling them if they don't fix it you will take them to small claims court.

What most people do not know, is that those companies do not operate on verbal contracts.
Once you pay them, the fine print in their agreements (aka-contracts) take hold of you by the YIP-YAP.
Getting them to release your YIP-YAP, ain't never easy!
Yeah, it ain't fair, but they don't call it fair school, do they?
Those devils have rock solid contracts, and more than likely, if sued they'll produce them.
Follow the good lawprofessor's advice, start with customer service.
And, be nice, be very, very nice.
You can get tough later, but try lawprofessor's way first!
