I would like to know if there is any recourse for my situation in Minnesota.

My daughter and her husband purchased a home together and i loaned them money to help them with the down payment. We did not have a written contract and this was the second time that i did this for them. The first time they paid back the entire loan within 6 months. The second time, they had begun making payments when they decided to get divorced. The ex-husband retained the house and my daughter did not receive any compensation for the house (no equity). The divorce is now final and i have not received any further payments since they were separated. My question is...

What, if anything, can i get back from the ex-husband on the loan i made to them? None? Half? All of it?

My feeling is that he is still responsible for at least half of the outstanding balance. but since he still owns the home and there was no compensation for it to my daughter, is he responsible for all of it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
