Updating a Trust

My wife and I created a revocable living trust in 1991 using an attorney. We have no idea where this attorney is and we have an originally signed copy. We need to update the trust, now long overdue. Since the trust is so old and out of date and I can no longer contact the attorney who drew it up, I'm wondering if we should revoke the original trust and create a new one or just create amendments to the original one. I want to use living trust software available and am unsure if it will be messier to create amendments than to create a whole new trust, even though I realize that creating a new one will create more work transferring assets to the new one. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Q: Any thoughts?

A: Yes. Hire a trust attorney to do this for you.
