I am about to enter into a custody battle with my soon to be x-wife. So far we share joint custody and she is the primary care giver. I do have and maintain visitation with my son every weekend. It is my belief that she leaves him in the care of people with questionable character(drug,alcohol abusers). I also believe that she often leaves him unattended in her car. She, of course, will not admit to this and I cannot afford a private investigator. My question is this: Can I, Myself, investigate the matter and take pictures and/or video of her with my son in public? Furthermore, how would the courts veiw any evidence I may collect?
