i have applied for unemplyment insurance. my med leave was exhausted with my prior employer because i had2 car ax and cannot drive to work. i can commute to manhatten for work thought. what i want to find out is if i might be denied UI and what to say during UI interviews

Unemployment requires you be available and seeking work. Possession of a drivers license is not an issue unless you are offered work and refuse it. You must then establish a good reason for the refusal. That appears to be a good reason.

In order to receive UI you must be ready, willing & able to work/looking for work. If you happen to be denied on your original request, you can appeal.
