Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Underage Citation...

This past weekend, I received an underage drinking citation and have a question that someone could hopefully help me out with.

On the summons, it states the local magistrates office that I need to contact in order to pay the fine associated with the citation. I plan on calling tomorrow [I called on Monday and they didn't have me on record yet] in order to get the total amount of the fine. The check is being sent out right after that.

Do I need to appear in court even though I'll be pleading guilty on the summons and paying the fine in full?

Read the instructions on the ticket. Otherwise, to make sure, ask when you call. But usually if they let people pay the fine by mail they do that in order not to clog the courts with these cases.
