Unauthorized repairs

Ok so i took my truck to a local transmission shop and i told them to let me know what it cost to fix and 2 weeks go by and i just get the answer well let you know and finally got a call saying i owed 2800 dollers and they wobt let me get my truck tell its paid i signed nothing st all

You may have a valid argument to make if you did not authorize the repairs and they can't show documentation.
Unfortunately, you aren't going to get your vehicle back unless you pay them.
Either work out your differences with them or pay the bill.
If you pay the bill you can try to recover it through small claims.
