I am expecting a child in June. I am a UK citizen the father is a US citizen and we are separated. Hopefully the father will not dispute paternity - things seem to be ok on this front at the moment.
So, if the father does not change his mind about paternity our previous plans for applying for the child to have dual nationality, social security number etc. will go ahead.
I would like to buy a plot of land or small residential property for the childs future investment. Are there any legal issues which need to be looked into before I venture into the US real estate market?
