Types of Probation

okay what are the types of probation and what they include. i have overheard there is one in particular, i think informal. where you dont have to report to an actual probation officer you are just said to be on probation and cannot do anything to violate that...am i correct???

Supervised/formal: You report to an officer and have to follow a whole bunch of rules.

Unsupervised/informal: You do not report to an officer and have to follow a whole bunch of rules.

thanks judge. what generally are the types of rules? they vary from case to case im guessing though.
