My father is 85 years old. I have Power of Attorney. We put him in an aassisted living home for a few weeks. Nothing was ever signed by me, which I thought was odd. The doctor had him moved in from the hospital the day after we got back from vacation. I promised him he didn't have to stay if he didn't like it. After three weeks he went back home (getting help coming to the house every day from Home health care). The extended living facility has a contract he signed that says he is libel for the $80 a day charge till the end of July. Since I have POA and was not informed of this contract, never knew of it, and he was not aware of what he was signing, do we have to pay this money? Also, he was not even given a copy of the contract.
