My grandmother passed away back in 1989 and left a condo unit to me 1/4 and to my aunt 3/4, who was a Canadian citizen. Now my aunt passed away a couple years ago and left her 3\4 to her son and daughter split equally. I guess 1/3 each and I still own 1/4. Now the condo was never taken care of legally when my aunt died. IE the tax bill still shows me 1/4 and my dead aunt 3/4. My cousins who both own 1/3 want to put the condo all in my name. They are both American citizens but he lives in Saudi Arabia and she lives in Canada. What is the cheapest way to get the condo into my name? They want to just give it to me, but I have to pay all fee's, taxes. The condo is only worth about 40k right now. I have been paying the whole tax bill and condo fee's as I live their. I was thinking I could do a quick deed but then the condo is not in their name, it is still in my aunts. Could I go to probate in Ohio with something signed by them and skip putting it in their name? Seems their should be s simple answer to this complicated mess.
Thanks
Eddie

Depends on the law in your state and whether the condo issue was in a will or will need to go through probate. Google your state laws on probate or wills or inheritance of property.
