Toxic Mold Found 6 mos. after purchase

My son/wife bought a 29 yr old home in a country subdivision. Disclosure said nothing about knowledge of mold from sellers. Insisted on an inspection then found mold @ roof-line, which sellers agreed to replace gutters. This was in April 07. They moved in end of May. My son born w/Asthma started geting sick in Oct. We noticed more mold under Master Bed/window. Called our own mold inspector. Found extreme high levels of toxic mold behind bathroom tile which was done "lick-n-stick" direct on sheet rock. We don't know who did the tile of the 6 previous owners. Son/wife cannot afford California Lawyers. They've been sinking thousands of dollars into remidiation/repairs. Can we contact the sellers direct to request getting paid back: Have all before/after pictures and several written estimates from several contractors. Will run close to 60 thousand by the time all is done. They lost bedroom furniture and many other personal items...also due to sewer back-up (flooding) from faulty water heater...about the same time as mold inspection was done.
 
Your son may ask anyone he likes for restitution.
