   Is a zoning violation ticket supposed to be written to the owner of the property or the item that's in violation that's on the property? (say a car parked on private property that's in violation of a zoning ordinance - junk car). Which way is is correctly written....is the ticket supposed to be issued to the owner of the vehicle or the property owner? Thanks.

   Good question. If it isn't your car then that would be your defense. However, if it's on your property then it would appear that you have to do something about it and take it up with the owner of the car.
