I was calling him off different numbers after he blocked me and just 20 minutes ago he said he’ll get a restraining order on me and I feel like I’m about to run away and go missing! He was the one to hurt me and now everyone’s gonna think I’m the bad one!

Can he file a restraining order against me if it was ONLY phone calls? Wouldn’t he have to prove that I’m a danger to him? I’m not a danger to him, I was just calling him when I found out from others what he lied to me about and I went off on him. He’s blocked me from social media and my phone. I also have a completely clean criminal record. I’m sorry about calling him and I decided to not do that shit again!

Yes, he can get a RO because you are harassing him. Leave the man alone.

I left him alone. Don’t ever want to ever speak to him again.

    Most wise of you.

Calling him from different numbers was not wise.

So...right from the get go, we know you're the bad guy here.

No, he cannot "file a restraining order." He CAN, however apply to the court and ask the court to enter a restraining order. And yes, it is possible to get a restraining order based on telephone harassment.

Obviously, we have no way of knowing whether this person will pursue things further, but my guess is that, if you're really done contacting or trying to contact him, then that's probably all that will come of it.

FYI: he abused me and I have screenshots where he admits to it.

Yes, it was wrong of me to call him and yell at him but I am his victim and I’m also mentally ill, partially because of him too.

And yet you thought it was a bright idea to barrage him with phone calls. smh...

If you think your screenshots of his admitting to abusing will be a defense if he files a complaint against you...it will not.

He didn't want to speak with you again the first time you called him. Yes he could get a RO against you. Based on your repeating calling him you seem like danger to him.

Im really sorry. He was one of the only few people I’ve loved through my life and I trusted him. But he lied to me so much and abused me. But I still know I messed up by calling him. The things I said in my calls

this is TMI but I just got back from the ER cause I overdosed on my prescribed Xanax and alcohol. I’m mentally ill and have a history of being abused by many people, including this guy. WHY is the law never on the side of the poor abused women?? Or women in general??

IF HE DOES THAT, I WILL COUNTER SUE HIM FOR THE ABUSE!!! If he wants to go down that way with me.

but I’m getting the sense that even in the legal system women aren’t cared for or taken seriously.

Again.... you're still showing that you are a serious threat to him. The fact that you used your drugs with alcohol knowing the end result shows your not mentally stable.

You need to seek mental health treatment now. You have gone off the deep end...

Did you call the police when he abused you? If so, what was the result?

Keep in mind -- your harassing him is a different issue entirely from his alleged abuse. Are you familiar with the phrase "two wrongs don't make a right"? Because it absolutely applies to your situation.

IF he files for an RO against you, then you will defend yourself (preferably with an attorney).

IF he were to abuse you again, you call the police.
